Where Should I Purchase Used Fluke Meters?

Fluke meters meters give you an advantage when taking electrical measurements. Fluke digital meters are considered by many electricians to be among the most accurate in the industry, but, this performance comes at a relatively high price compared to many other brands.

A brand new Fluke multimeter costs a good deal more than multimeters from many other manufacturers, which prevents some people from buying them and going with cheaper brands instead.  This article presents some ideas on where you may be able to buy used Fluke meters at a price that won't break your budget.

One great alternative to consider is buying a used meter. But where can you find them?

After doing some research of my own, I found that used meters could be purchased through several different web sites. The first place you should check is eBay.com, which is the largest online auction web site on the internet. The site allows its members to set a starting price and sell their own merchandise.

You should also check out iOffer.com, which works in a similar fashion. However, on iOffer.com members make offers on merchandise that is for sale from other members.

Another place to consider is Amazon.com. At Amazon, you will find people who sell used items that they own. Unlike eBay and iOffer, the price is set, so you do not need to make an offer to buy. However, like the other two sites, at Amazon, it may be possible to get a used Fluke meter in very good condition at a good discount over a new one.

These three outlets are the top choices for finding used and affordable Fluke multimeters. However, before you send payment, be sure that you can verify that the item is in good working order. The Fluke warranty is not transferable to a second owner, so it is important that the item works properly. You should also find out if the seller has a return policy in case it is defective.
